One hundred magnetic tiles — squares, triangles and rectangles that snap together on contact. Kids start by making flat shapes on the floor, then work out they can fold them up into a box, and from there it's towers, garages and increasingly ambitious things that fall over.
Builds: spatial reasoning — how flat shapes turn into solid ones, which is the foundation of later geometry
Suits: 3 to 8 years
Safety: rated 3+. Contains magnets — not suitable for children who still mouth toys, and keep away from younger siblings
This is the widest age range of anything we stock. A three-year-old lays them flat and matches colours; a seven-year-old builds a structure with an internal staircase. Same box, five years apart.
The magnets are sealed inside each tile and the pieces are big enough to handle easily. A hundred pieces is enough for two children to build side by side without a territorial dispute — which, if you have two, is the number that matters.
Fair warning: they end up everywhere. A shallow tub beats the original box.
Shipped from Australia. Most metro orders arrive in 3–6 business days.
